UKAg plant pathologist receives Fulbright scholarship

Professor Paul Vincelli, UKAg plant pathologist, was among five University of Kentucky faculty members selected as recipients of prestigious Fulbright program scholarships. He recently returned from three weeks in Montevideo, Uruguay, where his primary purpose  was to offer a graduate course in fungicide resistance.

UK Ag Student Earns Alltech Young Scientist Award

 A student who originally hails from Brazil and  came to the University of Kentucky to complete her undergraduate studies is one of two winners of the 2013 Alltech Young Scientist award. Undergraduate Amanda Pesqueira, majoring in animal sciences in the UK College of Agriculture, was honored for demonstrating an exceptional awareness of science and its role in shaping the future of agriculture. 

 

Potter named a Provost's Distinguished Service Professor

Mike Potter, professor in the UK Department of Entomology, is among those named a Provost's Distinguished Service Professor.

UKAg Dean Scott Smith receives Lyons award for outstanding service

Dean Scott Smith received the William E. Lyons Award for Outstanding Service for his dedication to improving the college and the community it serves.
