Registration is open for the 2015 season of the Community Supported Agriculture project sponsored by the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. All UK faculty, staff and students are eligible to enroll in the program, which provides them with a weekly share of fresh, certified organic vegetables from May through October.

Good things can happen when community agencies come together.

That rings true in Washington County, where a group called Washington on Wellness leverages community agencies to improve the health and wellness of county residents. The wellness coalition began with the county health department and Cabrina Buckman, the county’s family and consumer sciences agent with the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service.

On Dec. 9, UK President Eli Capilouto will sign the Presidents’ Commitment to Food and Nutritional Security at the United Nations.

The cooking demonstration series "Plant, Harvest, Eat" features students preparing easy and delicious recipes using Kentucky-grown, raised and value-added food products.
