Bigger, better fashion comes to UK

Students in the Department of Retailing and Tourism Management are hosting their big spring event Color Me Spring April 24.

LEXINGTON, Ky.—

For the past five years, students within the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment have planned the university’s spring fashion show from the ground up. Kentuckians and supporters of the Big Blue Nation should make arrangements to attend this year’s show.

Organizers expect this year’sthe April 24fashion show  at the UK Student Center’s Harris Grand Ballroom to be bigger and better than previous ones.

This year’s show is titled Color Me Spring: An After Hours Fashion Affair. Attendees will experience music, catered food, fashion from various Lexington boutiques and companies, a silent auction, fellowship and much more. Proceeds help fund educational trips and projects for UK students within the Department of Retailing and Tourism Management.

In addition, students may purchase  tickets for $10 at the student center box office.

The silent auction will begin at 7 p.m. EDT.

The fashion show will begin at 8 p.m..

The event is presented by the students who are majoring in either merchandising, apparel and textiles or hospitality and tourism management in the college’s School of Human and Environmental Sciences.
