LEXINGTON, Ky.—

The Kentucky Small Business Development Center offers help to businesses who have suffered damage from the flooding Kentucky has experienced this year.

“Many people do not know that the KSBDC serves business owners throughout the business life cycle. This includes when disaster hits,” said Becky Naugle, state director. “Our counselors are here to help a business weather the storm. With the flooding throughout Kentucky, we would like to encourage business owners to visit their local SBDC office, and to utilize our Disaster Recovery Toolkit on our website, KSBDC.org.”

KSBDC’s Disaster Recovery Toolkit includes a step-by-step guide on how to properly assess the damage to your business and how to prepare to re-open. The site also contains links to valuable resources. To download your copy of the Disaster Recovery Toolkit, visit https://www.ksbdc.org/disaster-recovery.

The Kentucky Small Business Development Center, part of the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, is a network of 12 offices located throughout the state. The center helps existing and start-up businesses succeed by offering high quality, in-depth and hands-on services. KSBDC is an accredited partner program with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
