LEXINGTON, Ky.—

After five different deployments, UK student veteran Jennfier Kisabeth is happy to be back home.

The Richmond, Kentucky, native served in the United States Navy for six years before arriving this past fall at the University of Kentucky to major in biosystems engineering.

"I am both proud to have served my country and to be able to come here with all of those experiences," Kisabeth said. "Being a student at the University of Kentucky means so much to me and my family because we’re from here."
