UK James B. Beam Institute Reaches Out to Extended Wildcat Family Across Distilling Industry

LEXINGTON, Ky.—

The James B. Beam Institute for Kentucky Spirits at the University of Kentucky is sending a special message to their extended family of Wildcats across the Commonwealth, encouraging those in the distilling community to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Leaders from across the university, including President Eli Capilouto, UK Football Head Coach Mark Stoops, Chair of the University Senate Council and College of Engineering faculty member Aaron Cramer and College of Health Sciences Professor DeShana Collett, share how important it is to keep our communities safe and healthy through these safe and effective vaccinations.

“It’s a personal decision that will protect you, those dear to you and your entire community,” Capilouto said.

“We’re all in this together,” shared Collett.

These extended family members spanning the state are instrumental to our communities and the industry.

“I am so thankful for what the health care professionals have done and our whole Wildcat community is thankful for their tireless work,” shared Seth DeBolt, director of the Beam Institute.
