LEXINGTON, Ky.

Kentuckians interested in improving their leadership skills can join more than 60,000 leaders around the globe for a unique conference to be broadcast Oct. 20 by satellite.

The University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service is partnering with Living Leadership, a division of Maximum Impact Inc., to present the one-day conference titled “Delivering the Right Way.”

“The Cooperative Extension Service has teamed up with the University of Kentucky Agriculture Alumni Association in an effort to get top quality leadership development opportunities to their clients at a reasonable price and in a location closer to their home community,” said Grace Gorrell, agricultural alumni coordinator for the UK College of Agriculture.

The conference features several internationally known business leaders and leadership authors. Presenters include entrepreneur Donald Trump; author and lecturer Peter Drucker; author and management expert Jim Collins; entrepreneur and media owner Russell Simmons; author Ken Blanchard; Harvard business school professor Rosabeth Moss Kanter; former Honeywell CEO Larry Bossidy; and former Soviet leader and Nobel Prize recipient Mikhail Gorbachev.

Cooperative Extension Service offices will be downlinking the live program in selected counties. The cost for participating for the general public is $199, but a special price of $99 is offered to individuals who attend at county Cooperative Extension sites. The fee includes a workbook and lunch.

For information on downlink sites and registering, contact your local Extension office, or Grace Gorrell at 859-257-7211.
