Kentucky Nonprofit Leadership Forum Set for Sept. 28

LEXINGTON, Ky.—

The fourth annual Kentucky Nonprofit Leadership Forum is Sept. 28 at the Hyatt Regency Lexington. The forum, presented by the University of Kentucky Nonprofit Leadership Initiative, is the only statewide conference for Kentucky’s nonprofit professionals. It provides an excellent opportunity for executive directors, board members, volunteers and other nonprofit professionals to hear local and national presenters from the nonprofit sector speak on a range of topics, said Danielle Clore, the initiative’s director.This year’s forum features a variety of experts, including featured presenter Timothy Seiler, director of The Fund Raising School at Indiana University’s Center on Philanthropy. Seiler will present sessions on major gifts, planned giving, capital campaigns and trends in philanthropy. Other sessions include information on legal issues, Web site design, volunteer management, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other tax information, human resource management, finance, and board of directors development.The Nonprofit Leadership Forum will also feature the presentation of the 2006 Fifth Third Bank Innovative Nonprofit Award. The award will be given to a Kentucky charitable nonprofit organization in recognition of demonstrated creativity and vision in the implementation of inventive, nontraditional programs that effectively and efficiently meet community needs. Registration forms are available online at http://www.kynonprofits.org or by calling 859-257-2542 and must be received by Sept. 25.
