Published on Jun. 3, 2009

The Bluegrass Equine Digest, a monthly e-newsletter providing information from the country's premier equine-only research facility and the University of Kentucky's new Equine Initiative, will launch June 28. It was developed through a partnership with UK's Gluck Equine Research Center and the Equine Initiative and presented by TheHorse.com and sponsor, Pfizer Animal Health.

The Bluegrass Equine Digest will feature equine news, tips and research findings from the UK College of Agriculture, including the Gluck Equine Research Center, the Livestock Disease Diagnostic Center and a wide range of UK departments that conduct equine-related research. This information is designed to help educate horse owners, farm managers, veterinarians and anyone interested in the health and management of horses. The newsletter will have links to all the features and articles available at TheHorse.com and will feature a PDF download that contains complete versions of the top stories.

The digest will include short news items that will keep horse enthusiasts up-to-date on happenings in the research labs and the field, plus in-depth articles from world-renowned experts on current "hot" topics. There will also be tips on care for horses and property and business advice from a team of real-world experts.
