LEXINGTON, Ky.—
The slow spread of the Emerald Ash Borer, an exotic wood-boring invader, is killing ash trees in the United States, and is in about half of Kentucky's counties and spreading west. The EAB was first discovered in Kentucky in 2009. The EAB larvae destroys the water and nutrient-conducting tissue of invested ash, eventually killing the tree.(Read the full story here)
