A cooking class for teenagers with Down syndrome is opening a whole new world for participants. This spring, the six-week class was offered for the second year by the Fayette County Cooperative Extension Service through its Nutrition Education Program (NEP). There were some new students, and returning ones, but by the end of the class, they were all chopping and cooking their way to success.
