Ky Extension Homemakers celebrate 40 years of UK ovarian cancer research program support
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Kentucky Extension Homemakers outreach and fundraising efforts for the UK Ovarian Cancer Research and Screening Program. Extension homemakers across the state have supported the program to the tune of $1.4 million dollars. The homemaker's donations are used to fund ovarian cancer research at UK and provide free screenings to all women who agree to participate in the university's study. The program has saved many women's lives thanks to early detection of ovarian cancer.
