Extension program does more than just grow vegetables

A garden project in Henderson is helping the intellectually and developmentally challenged.

When it comes to gardening and similar activities, intellectually and developmentally-challenged people often are left on the sidelines, unable to participate. But in Western Kentucky, specifically at the Hugh Edward Sandefur Training Center in Henderson, adults with disabilities are not being overlooked and are being included in a garden project just for them.
